The GeoEdmonton 2018 organizing committee is pleased to present the proceedings of the 71st Canadian Geotechnical Conference and the 13th Joint CGS/IAH-CNC Groundwater Conference held from September 23-26, 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Under the theme Transportation Geotechnique - Moving Forward, the conference featured over 250 papers and presentations from authors from across Canada and around the world. Over 550 delegates came together to exchange information and to share their professional knowledge in the geotechnical and hydrogeological fields.
We would like to thank the many individuals who contributed to the success of the 2018 conference - in particular the sponsors, exhibitors, our invited presenters, and the many volunteers who helped over the 36-month planning period and at the conference.

Le comité organisateur de GéoEdmonton 2018 est heureux de présenter les résumés techniques de la 71e conférence géotechnique canadienne et de la 13e conférence conjointe SCG/AIH-SNC sur les eaux souterraines, tenue le 23-26 septembre 2018 en Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Sous le thème de La géotechnique des transports - Ouvrir la voie, plus de 250 articles et exposés techniques ont été présentés au congrès par des auteurs canadiens et internationaux. Plus de 550 délégués se sont réunis pour échanger de l'information et partager leurs connaissances professionnelles en géotechnique et en hydrogéologie.
Nous remercions l’ensemble des personnes qui ont contribué au succès du congrès de 2018, tout particulièrement les commanditaires, les exposants, les présentateurs invités, et les nombreux bénévoles qui ont offert leur temps durant les 36 mois de planification et pendant la conférence.
