The GeoSt.John’s 2019 organizing committee is pleased to present the proceedings of the 72nd Canadian Geotechnical Conference held from September 29 - October 2, 2019 in St. John’s, NL, Canada.
Under the theme Under Land and Sea, the conference featured over 225 papers and presentations from authors across Canada and around the world. Over 450 delegates came together to exchange information and to share their professional knowledge in the geotechnical field.
We would like to thank the many individuals who contributed to the success of the 2019 conference – in particular the sponsors, exhibitors, our invited presenters, and the many volunteers who helped over the 24-month planning period and at the conference.

Le comité organisateur de GéoSt.John’s 2019 est heureux de présenter les résumés techniques de la 72e conférence géotechnique canadienne tenue le 29 septembre au 2 octobre 2019 en St. John’s, NL, Canada.
Sous le thème de Sous la terre et la mer, plus de 225 articles et exposés techniques ont été présentés au congrès par des auteurs canadiens et internationaux. Plus de 450 délégués se sont réunis pour échanger de l'information et partager leurs connaissances professionnelles en géotechnique.
Nous remercions l’ensemble des personnes qui ont contribué au succès du congrès de 2019, tout particulièrement les commanditaires, les exposants, les présentateurs invités, et les nombreux bénévoles qui ont offert leur temps durant les 24 mois de planification et pendant la conférence.
